Group One Elevator System-LULA

Group One Limited Use/Limited Access
(LULA) Elevator

Today’s growing awareness of the need for greater accessibility, as well as legislation such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, has created a growing demand for functional, convenient, and affordable elevator systems. EECO has taken those needs one step further to offer you Limited Use/Limited Application (LULA) elevators that can be integrated into your existing architecture and offer the quality and style that only EECO can provide.
The EECO LULA Elevator can be used in churches, schools, libraries, small businesses, multi-family housing and other buildings, where permitted by state and local code. It is the product of years of experience and research combined to provide you with the affordable solution to your accessibility needs.

The EECO LULA elevator exceeds safety codes as established by ASME A17.1/CSA B44. The elevator carries a full one-year warranty on materials and workmanship and has proven reliability and durability with guaranteed quality backed by over 65 years in the commercial elevator industry. Our Hydraulic Elevators are built with dependable quality to last a lifetime. We invite you to compare the LULA elevator to any competitor, and you will find this elevator superior in design, quality, and workmanship.

Key Features

  • Standard car size is 18 square feet, 3’-6” wide by 5’-0” deep
  • Commercial grade components & fixtures
  • Standard or customized cab interiors
  • Rigid frame & car construction
  • Computer controlled operation
  • Engineered with safety & emergency features to ensure rider safety

  • Two-speed automatic car doors with integrated hoistway doors
  • Electromechanical interlocks prevent elevator movement while doors are open & prevent hallway doors from opening while the car is not at a landing
  • A battery powered safety descent system lowers the car in the event of a power failure to prevent entrapment

The Thermal Switch is used to prevent the liquid temperature in the Hydraulic Power Units from rising above its maximum operating temperature. These switches are factory pre-set at a temperature setting of 1450 F (630 C). The one piece brass casing houses a bi-metallic, normal closed SPST snap switch. They are NEMA 4 and IP65, UL listed and CSA approved, which is rated for 15 amps @ 125 VAC, 10 amps @ 250 VAC. Mounting is accomplished by a 1/2" NPT and electrical termination by two 18 AWG, 36 inch long wires. (Per ASME A17.1/CSA-B44 3.26.6.5)

The Thermal Switch Assembly is required to be installed on all Hydraulic Power Units, per ASME A17.1/CSA‐B44 3.26.6.5, to prevent the oil temperature from rising above its maximum operating temperature. This assembly can be used in both Submersible and Dry Power Units.
The switch is factory pre‐set at a temperature setting of 145º F (63º C) and will fit in a tank up to 44" tall. Conduit length is 19" and can be trimmed if necessary for a shorter tank. For more information on the electrical characteristic of the switch see Sales Bulletin SB‐026.

A Dynamic Viton seal replacement kit (P/N 5131D) for your in-service UV-5A series valves (including UV-5A "S" series, UV-5AT and UV-5ATC valves). This kit contains the O-Rings for the moving parts of 3 Valves.
Since January 2001, all EECO valves have been manufactured with Viton seals. If you are replacing any of the major components listed on this page (which are supplied with Viton seals) in an EECO valve manufactuered prior to January 2001, EECO recommends that you also replace the older valve seals in the remainder of the valve with the newer Viton seals.

This Multi-Piece Piston Kit (MPK) is required for every joint that EECO supplies. The kit is designed
to fill in the hairline gap that may occur after tightening the piston sections together. The hairline
gap makes the piston weep oil which may look like the piston is filling with oil, although the piston
joints are designed with o-ring seals and solid coupling or baffle plates to avoid oil from filling the inside of the piston.

This kit includes the following:
Instruction Sheet
Putty Knife
Marine-Tex Epoxy MSDS
Mixing Cup
Degreaser
Emery Cloth
Marine-Tex Epoxy Compound
Non-Hardening Gasket Sealant #2 (Thread sealant)

The 1/8” NPT Jack Bleeder Assembly is compact and easily installed. This bleeder is rated at 1500 psi. The barbed bleeder screw enables use of a 1/4” I.D. soft plastic or rubber tubing to direct oil into a container while bleeding the jack.

A thermostat that is field adjustable by a fine adjustment trim screw which can activate a viscosity
control system. The thrermostat is UL and CSA recognized for a maximum of 1500 watts at 230 volts AC
with a single contact. The unit has a heat sensitive base plate which can be mounted directly to the
outside of a hydraulic tank or by an aluminum “L” bracket with little loss of sensitivity.
This switch can be used to control pump/motor running in bypass mode to heat up the oil in lieu of
a tank heater or as a control to turn on/off an oil cooler and/or a tank heater. The switch is normally
closed and is open above the set temperature.

Specifications:
Range: Adjustable from 75ºF (off) to 525ºF
Rotation: 310 Angular Degrees
Terminal Connector: #6-32 Screw

The Flange Down Assembly for UV-7B contains:
Part # 5267 - Bypass/Down Main Speed Adjuster (2 pcs)
Part # 5191BA - Leveling Screw Adjuster Assembly (2 pcs)
Part # 5251 - Down Flange (1 pc)

The EECO Transfer valve allows the transfer of hydraulic oil between chambers in multi-stage jacks equalizing the hydraulic pressure during the resynchronization procedure.
