Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Location: Los Angeles, CA
Job Description:
A Mechanical Engineer is sought by an engineering company in Los Angeles, CA to perform the
following duties:
• Research, design and develop new hydraulic elevator system, equipment &
components;
• Design working prototype of elevator platform and sling system.
• Create 3D Models, 2D drafting of elevator parts, including BOM & apply GD&T per
ASME Y14.5;
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and reports for new product
development.
• Conduct Finite Element Method simulation, thermal analysis by SolidWorks and
engineering calculations to ensure the reliability of products and systems.
• Analyze and solve design and application problems;
• Implement established procedures to achieve defect-free designs or applications;
• Customize existing software and hardware to meet specific building needs;
• Provide design solutions to assigned safety, performance, cost, reliability, and
maintenance problems.
• Interface with design and manufacturing teams to finish the projects within the cost
and time constraints;
• Assist technical support teams to solve customer reported engineering issues.Required Skills and Qualities:

• Master’s degree in Materials Engineering or related major;
• Certified Engineer-In-Training (EIT/FE);
• Proficiency in SolidWorks simulation, SolidWorks and Auto CAD.
• Strong ability in following detailed instructions, solving engineering problems,
working independently and completing tasks on-time;
• Be able to work in an Agile environment.

Industry.
• Proactively contact current and prospective customers in efforts to develop and increase

• Process and enter quotes/sales orders into company AS400/Mapics system.
• Analyze market and work with management to ensure proactive measures are in place.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:
• Two year degree required, however sales and elevator industry experience may be
substituted.
• Three or more years of elevator experience a plus.
• Ability to work in team environment.
• General computer knowledge in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and
programming required.
• Must be able to interpret job specifications and field surveys to ensure proper materials
and pricing are provided to customers.
• Ideal candidate will be self-motivated with strong leadership, organizational,
communication, and time management skills.

Summary of Position:
Assist the Quality Control Manager in inspecting all aspects of production. This position’s
primary goal is to maintain a high level of quality control for our entire inventory/products.

• Maintain quality systems to review new and returned products
• Maintain and schedule calibration of equipment

• Ability to read dial calipers, micrometers and other inspection tools
• Excellent computer and writing skills
• A minimum of 1 years experience in a quality function is a plus

Job Description:
• Responsible for designing, modifying, and testing elevator components and systems.
• Preparing and coordinating submittal packages.
• Developing solutions for existing designs as well as newly defined needs from sketches,
concepts, and verbal instructions.
• Candidate will work closely with manufacturing operations and suppliers to ensure
designs are compatible with production processes, and will have responsibility for
creating, organizing and maintaining technical literature related to these designs.
• Formulation and maintenance of product Bills of Material.
• Occasionally attend job site and customer coordination meetings
Requirements:
• Must have a minimum of 5 years elevator industry experience.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to accept direction, be a self-starter and self-motivated.
• Excellent organization, leadership, and engineering design skills including the use of
AutoCAD.
• General computer knowledge in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and
programming.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability of working to high levels of accuracy while under strict deadlines.
• Experience in Bills of Material structures and maintenance.
